Ana
Ana Kovacevic is a Serbian opera singer and voice teacher currently based in Dubai. She began her vocal training under Professor Georgi Minov and went on to study with Professor Violeta Radakovic at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade (FMU) from 2010 to 2013. Ana later earned her master’s degree at the University of Performing Arts in Graz, Austria (KUG), studying under Kammersängerin Joanna Borowska Isser, supported by the prestigious “Best of South East” scholarship. Since relocating to the UAE in 2017, Ana has been actively performing and teaching across the Emirates. As both a soloist and chamber musician, she has graced stages such as the Emirates Palace Theatre, New York University Abu Dhabi, Brighton College, Saadiyat Hyatt Concert Hall, Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, and Club White Dubai—where she brings classical music to broader audiences. Passionate about collaboration, Ana frequently performs with ensembles featuring violin, cello, saxophone, and other vocalists, exploring a repertoire that ranges from early masters to contemporary works, often incorporating improvisation and original vocal lines. Ana is also a dedicated voice teacher, offering instruction in all styles of singing to students from beginner to advanced levels. She encourages her students to explore a wide range of genres and to use both their voices and bodies as expressive instruments. Her stage experience includes leading roles such as Ariadne (B. Martinu’s Ariadne), Norina (Donizetti’s Don Pasquale), Pamina, Papagena, and First Lady (Mozart’s The Magic Flute), Corilla (Donizetti’s Viva la Mamma), Karolka (Janáček’s Jenůfa), Donna Anna (Mozart’s Don Giovanni), Poussette (Massenet’s Manon), and Perón’s lover (Webber’s Evita). In Serbia, she has performed in major venues including the National Theatre in Belgrade, Kolarac Hall, Opera and Theatre Madlenianum, and the Student Cultural Center. Ana has received numerous awards and scholarships, including the Anita Mezetova Fund award, the Dositeja Fund for Young Talents, a scholarship from Steiermärkische Sparkasse (2013), and the American Institute of Musical Studies (2015). She has participated in masterclasses with distinguished artists such as Deborah Voigt, David Bižić, Marijana Mijanović, Brigitte Fassbaender, Rudolf Jansen, and Christa Ludwig.
