Black Cherry Band
The all female pop/rock band ‘Black Cherry’ here in the UAE. Since there is currently no other fully female rock band here in the UAE, the girls decided to form as a group in 2022. They currently have residencies at all ‘Lock Stock & Barrel’ venues over the UAE and Atlantis Hotel on the Palm. Strongly influenced by the 90s grunge pop/rock scene, they cover songs by bands such as ‘No Doubt, Nirvana, Joan Jett, Avril Lavigne, Oasis, Lady Gaga’ and other world famous artists. They are a 5 piece band from all over the globe. The lead singer is from the UK (Wales), Ginevra on lead guitar & vocals from Italy, Cherie, the bassist & lead vocals from the Philippines and then there is Ksenia & Alena on drums and rhythm guitar from Russia.

In what may best be described as a seamless fusion between the hard, the soulful, and themdownright groovy, Karman Line fills in the gaps with an otherwise uproarious sense of volatility, fuzzy foot-stomping rhythms, and soaring rock hooks. The band has garnered a lot of support from their local rock scene, recently winning ‘Highly Commended’ in the WhatsOn Nightlife Awards 2023 and being nominated in the ‘Best Band’ category for a second year in a row. They hope to make a lasting impression on the international scene in the coming years.
