
Ana Kovacevic
Ana Kovacevi is Serbian opera singer and voice teacher currently based in Dubai. Ana started her education in voice with professor Georgi Minov. From 2010 util 2013 Ana studied with professor Violeta Radakovic at Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade (FMU). She obtained her master degree at University of Performing Arts, Graz, Austria (KUG) in the class of Kamersaengerin Joanna Borowska Isser, after she received prestigious scholarship "Best of South East”. Ms. Kovacevic has been living in the UAE since 2017, during which time she has been teaching and performing in all across the Emirates. She is performing both as a soloist and chamber musician at Emirates Palace Theatre, New York University Abu Dhabi, Brighton College Abu Dhabi, Saadiyat Hyatt Concert Hall, Waldorf Astoria RAK and she also performs in Club White Dubai, bringing classical music to the wider audience. Ana is always searching for new challenging pieces and is being part of exciting ensembles, creating music with violin, cello, saxophone players as well as other singers. Most of the time they perform old masters and contemporary music, but very often her musicianship includes improvisation and creating vocal parts. Ana teaches all styles of singing from beginners to advanced levels encouraging her students to explore a variety of genres, to discover their potential and use their voices and their bodies as instruments. On stage she performed roles of Ariadne (B.Martinu "Ariadne"), Norina (Donizetti "Don Pasquale"), Pamina, Papagena, First Lady (Mozart “Magic Flute”), Corilla (Donizetti "Viva la mamma"), Karolka (Leos Janacek "Jenufa"), Donna Anna (Mozart “Don Giovanni”), Poussette (Massenet “Manon”), Peron’s lover (Weber “Evita”). In Serbia, she performed in all of the most important halls, including National Theater in Belgrade, Kolarac, Opera and Theater Madlenianum, Student Cultural Center Belgrade etc. She won numerous of top national awards (Anita Mezetova Fund as one of the best students in the generation 2011/2012, Fund for Young Talents Dositeja scholarship in 2011/2012). In 2013, she became the scholar of the Steiremarkisse Sparkasse, and in 2015. of American Institute for Musical studies in Austria. Ms. Kovacevic attended masterclasses of Deborah Voigt, David Bizic, Marijana Mijanovic, Brigitte Fassbaender, Rudolf Jansen, Christa Ludwig. Ana was Serbian representative at World Youth Choir in 2008 performing at the opening of the Olympic Games (China), Europe Cantata festival, in 2009 (Netherlands), and Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony in 2011 (Norway).
